Bioagro is a scientific journal of the Agronomy Faculty of the Universidad Centroccidental "Lisandro Alvarado" (UCLA) in Venezuela, that publishes original papers in Agricultural Sciences. It is published in January, May and September (quarterly). Each contribution is reviewed by at least two specialists in the area, whose opinion will define the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript
The journal is directed, fundamental but not exclusively, to professionals and technicians of the agricultural area. Its objective is to publish scientific papers in agricultural sciences dealing topics of agronomy, botany and plant breeding, entomology and zoology, soils, plant pathology and plant protection, agricultural engineering, genetics and plant breeding, ecology, processing of agricultural products, biotechnology and social products. It is also published short articles in the form of Technical Notes in which scientific discoveries, technological developments or comprehensive diagnostics are presented.
In Venezuela, It is found in the libraries of Venezuelan universities and colleges that offer agricultural studies, as well in the official institutions for agricultural research. Abroad, the journal is in universities and/or agricultural institutes of all Latin America countries of and United States, Canada and Spain
The journal is included in the following indexing and abstracting services: Agrícola, Agris, CABI, Dialnet, Latindex, Redalyc, Redib, Revencyt, Scopus, Scielo, SCI Expanded (WoS).
Bioagro maintains high ethical standards and take all possible measures against any malpractice that may occur during publication.
